After his initial theological studies for a Bachelor's degree at St. Petersburg Christian University (1997-2001) Victor Shlenkin went to Leuven, Belgium where he continued his theological training at the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit (2002-2004) for a Master's degree in theology.
From 2004 to 2011 he taught theological courses in various theological institutions in Russia and in 2010 he took the position of a lecturer at his alma mater in St. Petersburg.
After a short period of teaching at this theological school he went to Zurich where he pursues his doctoral studies as an independent researcher with Prof. Samuel Vollenweider. His research interest lies in the field of biblical ecclesiology and he writes his project about the rise and development of teaching ministry in the earliest churches.
Victor is married and has a son.
