David Zersen

David Zersen was born in 1938 in Elmhurst, Illinois and attended various colleges, seminaries and graduate schools including Georg-August University, Goettingen and Columbia University, New York City. He holds doctorates from Bethany Theological Seminary and Columbia University.
Zersen served as a parish pastor, as a dean at Concordia University Wisconsin and as president at Concordia University Texas. In retirement he does some teaching in the U.S. and internationally and serves as managing editor of Concordia University Press.
He is married to Julie nee Scmid and they have two children and four grandchildren.
