Swiss-European Mobility Programme (former Erasmus Programme)
Following the Swiss referendum „on mass immigration“ in February 2014, the European Union suspended negotiations on Switzerland’s full participation in Erasmus+. In March 2014 the Swiss government decided to develop an interim solution of indirect participation.
The interim solution is called Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) and follows the precepts of Erasmus+.
For students from former Erasmus partner universities of UZH, this implies that they can do a student exchange in Zurich if their home university agreed to continue cooperation under this interim regime.
