Ausgehend von der Beobachtung, dass Künstler nur selten Inklusion in Kirchen erfahren bzw. nicht einfach zu inkludieren sind, soll die Frage nach Exklusionsmechanismen, Inklusionsblockaden und schliesslich nach möglichen Inklusionsmodellen gestellt und anhand von Leitfaden-Interviews und einer eingegrenzten quantitativen Umfrage beantwortet werden. Der soziologische Theorierahmen bildet die  Inklusionsdiskussion; der hauptsächliche ekklesiologische Ausgangspunkt ist die Charismenlehre, die einerseits auf das künstlerische Schaffen, andererseits auf ausserkünstlerische Beiträge von Künstlern bei der Mitgestaltung von Kirche bezogen wird.

Starting with the observation that artists either rarely experience inclusion in churches or are not easy to include, the aim is to discuss mechanisms of exclusion, blockades to inclusion and, finally, possible models of inclusion, using guideline-interviews and a limited quantitative to help in identifying solutions. The sociological theoretical aspect centres on the discussion of inclusion; the main ecclesiological focus is the doctrine of charisms, which, on the one hand, relates to artistic creative work, and on the other hand to non-artistic contributions by artists to church life.
