Short Biography
Fiva Savković is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich. She earned her Ph.D. in Theology from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade, with a dissertation on the metaphor of “calling” in the Pauline epistles, published in the WUNT II series. Her research focuses on New Testament studies—particularly Pauline and Johannine literature—as well as Cognitive Metaphor Theory and Biblical Hermeneutics. She is currently working on a postdoctoral research project on the narrative of the anointing of Jesus and its conflation and reception, supervised by Jörg Frey and Tobias Nicklas. In addition to her research, she works as an author, translator, and proofreader of scholarly publications and has been involved since 2017 in the contemporary Serbian translation of the New Testament. She resides at the Monastery of Gradac of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Calling Metaphor in Paul’s Epistles: A Study of Paul’s καλέω-Terminology in Light of Cognitive Metaphor Theory
This study examines the metaphorical use of the concept of “calling” in the Pauline epistles in light of Cognitive Metaphor Theory. It demonstrates how Paul employs metaphorical language to structure identity formation, the constitution of communities, and theological thinking.
Postdoctoral Research Project
The Woman Anointing Jesus – Conflation and Reception
This project investigates the New Testament narratives of the anointing of Jesus, with particular attention to their literary conflation, cognitive-narratological approaches, and reception-historical development.
