Luca Mauri studied Classics at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, where he was awarded a master’s degree with a dissertation on the use of “seeds of the Logos” (σπέρματα τοῦ λόγου) in Clement of Alexandria’s Stromateis. He then completed an additional master’s degree in Canon and Ecclesiastical Law at the University of the Italian Switzerland in Lugano, where since January 2024 he has been employed as an assistant at the Chair of Matrimonial Canon Law of Prof. Dr. Gabriela Eisenring. At the same university he has also been teaching Greek language since September 2024.
He is currently working on his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefan Krauter, especially studying the ancient Greek legal background of the “electoral system” in the Acts of the Apostles.
